The goal of Dora Plus 2.2 is to support foreign Doctoral students studying in Estonian universities. Support is offered to guest doctoral students for short-term teaching and research work in Estonia (1-10 months).

The individual applicants shall turn to their home institution who are responsible for selecting the grantees. The scholarships to the grantees will then be paid out by Archimedes Foundation.

Dora Plus Action 2.1

The goal of this action is to support foreign Master’s and Doctoral students studying in Estonian universities. Support is offered to foreign doctoral students in full-time studies until the end of the nominal time of their studies and foreign Master’s students studying in Estonia full-time and for one academic year at a time.

Amount: 
350 euros per month for foreign Master`s students 660 euros per month for foreign Doctoral students + travel costs once a year

Dora Plus 1.2 - PhD student mobility

Dora Plus 1.2 supports PHD student mobility from Estonian universities to a foreign university or research facility. Mobility can last 1-10 months. Living and transport allowance are covered.

The call for applications in higher education institution will be before 1st day (on following call deadlines). The participating higher education institutions will forward info to foundation about grantees on the following deadlines: March 1, June 1, September 1, October 1 and December 1.

Smart specialisation scholarship

The smart specialisation scholarships are paid to the BA and MA students, who study a smart specialisation specialities and PhD students of Estonian universities who conduct a research related to the smart specialisation growth areas. These scholarships are administred by Estonian universities. For more relevant information, please contact universities directly.

Amount: 
BA and MA students 160 euror per month, PHD students 440 euros per month.

Dora Plus 1.1 - short study visits

Dora Plus 1.1 or short-term study visists scholarships enables participation in the research conferences, seminars, courses or other learning and individual research abroad.

Dora Plus short study visits can last for up to 30 calendar days. The scholarship covers the costs of accommodation, travel and subsistence on the basis of fixed unit prices. The participation fee of the event is reimbursed on the basis of actual costs.

Students with special needs

The aim of the scholarship is to support students with disabilities, who study in Estonian higher education institutions. Scholarship is available up to 10 months per academic year.

Kristjan Jaak / Short study visits

The scholarships for short-term study related visits abroad, including participation in conferences, working in libraries, using laboratories, development of a lecture, work with an academic supervisor, participation in continuing education courses, consultations and summer schools. Support is granted for the study visits lasting up to one month (30 days).

Estophilus

The scholarship may be applied for by the foreign nationals final year BA students, Master’s students, PhD students and post-doctorate researchers from universities abroad while staying in Estonia for conducting research or collecting material about Estonia. Knowledge of Estonian is an advantage but not a requirement.

The deadlines are 1 March and 1 October.
