The amounts of the Kristjan Jaak study abroad scholarships are determined using the fixed rates for travel expenses. The travel allowance should cover all travel expenses, including transportation from the airport to the place of study or the fees for visas.
The travel beginning from both Estonia and from a foreign country are financed per one round-trip on the basis of the unit cost of the travel allowance as follows:
Along with the annual report, the student is required to submit the tickets in order to avoid the possibility of double funding. Tickets may be submitted electronically by uploading a scanned original document into the application system.

If the distance between travel destinations is up to 100 km, the costs are reimbursed on the basis of cost documents, whereas the reimbursed amount will not exceed 180 euros per return trip. The distance is calculated using only the web-based calculator developed by the European Commission.
Along with the annual report, the doctoral student is required to submit the original tickets in order to avoid the possibility of double funding.
