Support will be provided for the studies with the duration from one (1) to five (5) months as an exchange student at a university or research institution abroad in the framework of the postgraduate studies in Estonia. Only doctoral students can apply for visits to research institutions. A description of the research institution must be attached to the application. The support can be used:
- for visiting the lectures;
- for individual work;
- for internships;
- for consultations with experts in the field, etc.
Several shorter periods of studies over a longer period of time can be supported. For example, from the scholarship for 3 months one month can be used in the autumn and two in the spring. In a case like this, the duration of one period cannot be shorter than 30 days. We cannot support studying in more than one country in one period.
As a rule, study periods at the university abroad should take place during active period of teaching.
Allocation of scholarships is determined by the Kristjan Jaak Scholarship Council on the basis of the submitted letters of motivation and recommendation only.
Applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Council twice a year.
