From the 1st of January 2021, the activities of the Archimedes Foundation were transferred to the Education and Youth Authority (Haridus- ja Noorteamet) as the Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps agency.

"I am glad that with the Archimedes Foundation, the formal formation of the Education and Youth Authority was completed and students, teachers and young people will now receive support and advice from one place," said Ulla Ilisson, the director of the Education and Youth Authority. "This marks the completion of the merger of the four institutions into one modern state institution.  Further focus will be mainly on the development of educational services to support citizens and user-centered contributions in the learning and working life of young people and adults," Ilisson added.

The main activities of the Agency will continue to be the Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps programs, which are important for Estonian education and youth work landscape.
